{"id":151,"date":"2007-08-09T15:19:06","date_gmt":"2007-08-09T20:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marktime.org\/?p=151"},"modified":"2009-01-27T15:01:17","modified_gmt":"2009-01-27T20:01:17","slug":"quick-question-prophet-vs-malcontent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marktime.org\/?p=151","title":{"rendered":"Quick Question:  Prophet vs. Malcontent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Work is busy.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t have enough time to cover this fully, but here&#8217;s a question that&#8217;s been in my mind.<\/p>\n<p>My pastor has been preaching on the prophets.\u00a0 His last sermon was titled &#8220;People Who Say No&#8221;.\u00a0 He talked about the difference between a prophet who says what the people in power want to hear (&#8220;a for-profit prophet&#8221;) and the prophet who is truly speaking for God.\u00a0 As we know, back in Old Testament times the prophets were often &#8220;assigned&#8221; to the earthly King.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we hear a lot of people who claim to speak God&#8217;s will.\u00a0 Some of the messages resonate with me, and others chafe.\u00a0 Each of us has different reactions to these modern-day prophets.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, there are malcontents (or false prophets).\u00a0 There are people who claim to know God&#8217;s will but in reality probably don&#8217;t.\u00a0 They make their statements with the same self-assurance as the prophet.<\/p>\n<p>The one similarity between the prophet and the malcontent is that they are railing against what is, desiring or demanding what should be (and isn&#8217;t).<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ze8325e56f9\"><a href=\"http:\/\/icks.org\/n\/data\/ijks\/1482459178_add_file_1.pdf\">sildenafil viagra de pfizer<\/a> Also the drug benefits people through the safety that it provides.
