I live in NJ.\u00a0 I was laid off from a PA employer.\u00a0 That means that I have to use PA unemployment.\u00a0 They very conveniently allow for Internet filing of claims – no more going to the office and standing in line.<\/p>\n
There’s one problem.\u00a0 My salary for the first 2 days of the week was higher than the maximum weekly benefit.\u00a0 So I’m not eligible to file this week.\u00a0 I have to start next Monday.<\/p>\n
I also called the Outplacement firm that my company is providing for me.\u00a0 I get 2 months of their services for free.\u00a0 However, they don’t have my paperwork yet.\u00a0 So I can’t start yet.\u00a0 Their process starts with a Monday morning orientation meeting, so I’ll either start next Monday or the following week.
